Beginning of 2018 automotive supplier Valeo acquired Transfrig, leading in transport refrigeration technologies in South Africa, which is the base for a new product range for Valeo's Thermal business.
Transfrig has been developing and manufacturing transport refrigeration units since 1980 and offers a wide range of world class refrigeration equipment based on a market proven high technology level and extensive product portfolio in very challenging environments with sustainable service and excellent reputation in South African markets.
Since 2002 the business has expanded internationally. Being part of Valeo it creates synergies and technology will boost activities to be the preferred partner for our customers. A new development center in Johannesburg and a modern production plant in Brazil form the basis for opening up new markets.
